Week 7: Troubleshooting Windows - Driving down the memories lane.

I have been a Windows user since Windows XP's age. I also had to change my laptop from time to time. I still remember playing solitaire in Windows XP, burning a CD using real player software, and playing a game in Windows 8 on their touch-screen laptop. I had faced lots of issues with my Windows devices and was able to solve them using YouTube videos as well. Reading the material from this week brought back lots of memories. Tools like system restore, rebooting in safe mode, and recovery options.

These tools are not new to me; however, as a teenager, I encountered them while trying to fix whatever was wrong with my machine. It is crazy how many tools Windows has packed into its operating system. Now that I have gone through the material for this week, I have a better idea of the reach tool's purpose and how to utilize it.

Booting the device into Safe mode to try something risky or to troubleshoot the device manger.

Creating a system restore point before I installed something that might jeopardize the system.

Being aware of these tools will make me a better tech in the future and help me maintain my computer and educate others about it.

Also, Rest in peace Windows Defender. The defender was a lifesaver back then for me.
